IELTS STRATEGIES WORKSHOP

Are you planning to take the IELTS exam in the next few months?
Is it difficult to find the time to follow a longer preparation course?

The one-day workshop will give you knowledge of the format of the exam and what happens on the day. In addition you will be given invaluable exam technique strategies and the opportunity to practise them.

The content of the workshop covers:

Familiarisation with the exam format and marking scheme.
Practise writing for the test focussing on strategies for dealing with Task 1 (e.g analysing charts and describing tables, writing letters)
Ways of dealing with discursive essays (Task 2).
Your reading skills will be developed through analysing texts and understanding the skills that are being tested.
We also aim to improve your competence in listening by focusing on a variety of strategies for dealing with different question types.
All aspects of the speaking interview are covered with ideas on how to approach the examiner’s questions.
Practise of sample examination papers and questions.

By the end of the workshop you will:

be fully-acquainted with the format of the IELTS exam
be ready to put into practice tips, techniques and strategies in each paper of the exam
have the confidence to perform well and fulfil your potential in each paper of the exam
